What We Teach
Technical Skills
We have been a leader in basketball instruction for over 47 years. The Five-Star experience allows for all levels of players to move closer to reaching "their" highest level. Our on-court instruction has been unmatched since our start in 1966. At Five-Star Basketball Camps all campers will go through a rigorous basketball training session. All campers will go through. Six sets of Stations, Fast Break Competition, Playoffs, Three League Games, Three-on-Three Tournament and our No-Dribble or Situation Tournament, over a three day period. This is a teaching camp first and foremost, and our goal is to improve the fundamentals of our campers. We’ve created innovative camp curriculums to help our campers elevate their games and our coaches are dedicated to helping our campers digest the information they’re given. This is a proven product that has produced more professional and college basketball players than any other basketball entity.
Athletic Skills
Five-star have recently added a new "level" of basketball training into our camp program. We have introduced what we call Station 14. This is a specific part of the camp that deals with helping our athletes grow, physically, throughout their time at camp. They go through drills and workouts that help increase speed, agility, quickness and strength. They learn drills that they can then take home with them to continue their development. This facet of training is becoming more and more important in the development of players.
Psychological Skills
At Five-Star, aside from teaching skill pertinent to on the court success, we have found that there lies a key mental aspect of the game.
Five-Star has made a concerted effort to bring in the brightest most qualified minds we can find, to teach our campers the importance of psychological strength as well as physical strength.
At past camps we have had key note speakers in the field of sports psychotherapy, hosting seminars on:
-life skills
-social media
-importance of academics
-drug use
-representation of self and family.
All seminars have received tremendous positive feedback.
In addition, all of our coaches are NCAA certified which includes a criminal background check. This is important for the environment in which we want to create at our camp, for the campers

The Five-Star Advantage: Technical, Athletic and Psychological
Since 1966, Five-Star has been the premier basketball camp in the country. For players 11-18, who have aspirations of improving their skills and playing basketball in college and beyond, Five-Star is for you.
Five-Star is the undisputed leader in basketball training. Outside of playing against your competitive peers, you will be able to elevate your game with techniques and skills so that you will standout through your exposure opportunities both at Five-Star and wherever you play under the watchful eyes of coaches and scouts.
The Five-Star experience allows for all levels of players to move closer to reaching "their" highest level.
Five-Star has played a role in the placement of more Division 1 college players than any other basketball entity.
We offer the best combination of teaching, competition and exposure out there today. In the past, Five-Star was only open for the top players in the country. Today there is a place for motivated players of all skill levels.
At each camp, the players are evaluated and divided up into different divisions depending on their level of play. The highest division will encompass the advanced players and the lower divisions will feature those players in the early stages of their development.
