Nerlens Noel (pictured with ball) is the most coveted big man in the country.

The race is on.

Since Tilton School's Nerlens Noel reclassified to 2012, all eyes have turned toward the 6'10" profilic shot blocker and defensive stalwart.

Noel, who's drawn comparisons Marcus Camby and Bill Russell, took an unofficial visit to Kentucky this weekend, where he was swooned by fans.

"Kentucky trip went well. Them fans are suttin else, showed alot of love," Noel tweeted last night. The visit was documented as an unofficial visit because Noel's reclassification paperwork is still not finalized.

Noel expanded on this tweet in his most recent ESPNU blog entry:

"I got there Friday morning and went to their practice for about an hour. I really liked the way they practice there. I just like the momentum they have in their practice. The practices are short but they get everything done that they need to get in. It’s really productive.

"I went to the game the next day and the fans most definitely lived up to the hype. They were just real live and they chanted my name about eight times. It was so loud in there.

"One of the fans came up to me and said “SEC girls love flattops!” I thought that was pretty funny. I really liked watching them play and sitting behind the bench I got a real feel about how they do it. coach John Calipari really gets on them when they make mistakes so they won’t make them again. I was impressed."

Kentucky was the second stop on Noel's visit schedule. The weekend prior, he trekked to Syracuse, and has plans to see Georgetown, North Carolina, Florida, UConn and Providence.

The race is on. Where do you think the big fella will end up?
