Purvis to announce today
Upper Room Christian Academy's 6-4 guard is scheduled to make his college decision
Five-Star rated Upper Room Christian Academy guard Rodney Purvis will announce his college decision today at a 2:30 press conference.
Writes Tim Stevens of Preps Now:
"The 6-foot-4 guard is expected to choose from among N.C. State, Louisville, Connecticut and Virginia Commonwealth, according to Raleigh Upper Room Christian coach Avie Lester.
"He had committed to Louisville, but later decided to consider other options. He has made official visits to Connecticut, N.C. State and N.C. Central."
Purvis is ranked 6th overall in the class of 2012 by Rivals and is listed as the No. 2 point guard, behind only Kyle Anderson of St. Anthony.
An explosive guard who can attack the cup with the best of them, Purvis played for Raleigh-based CP3 All Stars this summer on the circuit.
He described his game to Fivestarbasketball.com this way last spring: "I'm a good teammate who plays hard and plays to win. My skill set allows me to create for myself as well as my teammates."
