Smith-Rivera set to announce
The Oak Hill guard is down to Louisville, Memphis and N.C. State
Some fans will be getting some good news tomorrow as D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera is set to announce his college choice tomorrow evening. The combo guard is down to Georgetown, Memphis, Louisville and N.C. State. At one time, Smith-Rivera committed to Xavier but the Muskateers are no longer in the running.
Smith-Rivera is ranked No. 22 by Rivals and has impressed scout with his ability to bully guards on the perimeter to get anywhere he needs to on the court.
Weeks ago, Oak Hill Academy teammate Tyler Lewis declared why he would like Smith-Rivera to join him at N.C. State.
"We have great chemistry together since we are playing together at Oak Hill," Lewis said. "He plays both sides of the ball really well and is a really good scorer."
The chances of him joining the Wolfpack seem to be slim as Five-Star rated Rodney Purvis seemingly filled the guard opening with a verbal committment weeks ago.
Smith-Rivera visited the Hoyas in early September and early reports say he is leaning towards Georgetown.
