T.J. Warren to the Wolfpack?
Warren is reportedly down to N.C. State and Georgetown
T.J. Warren is set to be one of the next big names off the board. Reports came out this morning that the Brewster Academy star will announce his decision next Wednesday. With UNC getting a committment from Brice Johnson yesterday and having given out four scholarships in the class, the battle is reportedly down to N.C. State and Georgetown.
There is reason to believe that Warren, a Raleigh, N.C. native, will choose the hometown Wolfpack over the Hoyas. Warren is teammates with Mitch McGary at Brewster Academy. McGary hinted towards Warren's intend in his most recent blog for ESPN.
"I would assume, and I really don't know for sure, that T.J. would like to go to one of those schools that are close to his home in N.C.," McGary wrote in his entry. "That's just my guess."
The news would be welcome to N.C. State fans as they would have one of the best 2012 recruiting classes in the nation. The school already holds committments from Rodney Purvis and Tyler Lewis. Lewis knows the value that Warren can add to the class.
"T.J. would add a big wing that is one of the best scorers in our class," Lewis told Fivestarbasketball. "He can score in a variety of ways and has one of the best jump shots in the country."
