Coach's Corner: Elvin Edmonds Team Loaded 16U
The 2012 summer season was a great success for the Team Loaded organization, including our 14U and 16U teams ranked in the Top 10 per Five-Star Basketball and the 15U and 17U being recognized as the best of the rest.
Our 16U squad won four tournaments: the Team Loaded Invitational, Under Armour/Hoop Group Pittsburgh Jam Fest, Big Shots Myrtle Beach 1 and the Under Armour/NY2LA Summer Jam Fest. The key to the team’s success has been the length and versatility of many of the players and their collective ability to play and guard multiple positions.
The travel circuit presented great opportunities for the players to showcase their talents, with dozens of recruiting services and hundreds of college coaches following the team throughout the season. The players were able to gauge their talents against the best talent of the Class of 2014 and finished the season with a 40-7 record.
Team Loaded 16U featured three Top 50 players in Broderick “BJ” Stith, Cody Martin and Caleb Martin. The roster also included five other Division 1 prospects: Jonathan Williams, Markell Lodge, Logan McClane, Dante Buford, and Joshua Level. All of our players are not only great athletes, but great individuals as well.
