Columbia High School moved up in this week's power rankings.

Each and every week, FiveStarBasketball.com will be recapping the movements in our Power Rankings. As the competition begins to heat up, expect the rankings to fluctuate based on the performance of each individual team. As seen in this version of On the Move, the loss of one Top 25 team means that other teams have a chance to gain ground in the rankings.

Movin' In: La Lumiere

La Lumiere participated in the Midwestern Classic in Merrillville, IN and reamed Reda Prep (Canada) by the score of 116-59 while also notching a 62-53 victory over IMG Academy. These two wins, supplemented by No. 22 Notre Dame Prep being blown out by No. 1 Brewster, means La Lumiere is deserving of the No. 25 spot in the rankings.

Movin' Out: Notre Dame Prep

The aforementioned blowout loss to No. 1 Brewster is the main reason that the Fitchburg, MA school has dropped from the rankings. Combine that loss with the fact that 7-0 New Zealand-native and Pittsburgh commit Steven Adams is joining the team in January, and you have a team that is on it’s way out of the rankings … for now.

Movin’ Up: Christ the King (1 spot), Wichita Heights (1 spot) Columbia (1 spot)

The Columbia Eagles beat one of our watch list teams Southwest DeKalb by the score of 83-58, while Christ The King and Wichita Heights both moved up one spot because they were idol.

Off the radar: Southwest DeKalb

As a result of their 25-point trouncing at the hands of the Eagles, DeKalb has moved off of the Power Rankings radar. With the talented duo of Memphis commit Shaquille Goodwin and Auburn commit Jordan Price, DeKalb could work it’s way back onto the radar if they pick up their play.
