Windy City Rivalry

Reigning NBA MVP and Simeon alumnus, Derrick Rose, was on hand last week to take in the heated rivalry between his alma mater and the Whitney Young Dolphins. 

Both teams are stacked. Simeon with Jabari Parker, Kendrick Nunn, Steve Taylor and Jaylon Tate. Whitney Young boasts a trio of nationally ranked sophs in Jahlil Okafor, Paul White and Miles Reynolds. 

While the ultra-talented Okafor led all scorers with 20 points, 10 boards and three blocks, it was Parker's unblemishd Simeon team that won the war. He netted 15 points, hauled in nine rebounds and turned away five shots in a 62-55 victory.
