16U Power Rankings: Week 13: July 11, 2012

16U summer tournaments are underway

A few changes to the rankings this week as we welcome The City to the 16U field. We also reward a few teams for continuing to play while many others were taking the week off to prepare for the busy month ahead.

It was a big week for Ray Allen, who officially inked a deal with the Miami Heat, but Ray Allen Select had the week off.

Houston Hoops rounds out the top five again.

Southern Stampede is at the AAU Super Showcase in Florida until the 14th.
7	8	Las Vegas Prospects Las Vegas, Nev.	Key Win: Team Loaded Key Loss: Dallas Showtyme
The Prospects played up and won a local Independence Day tournament, building some momentum for their next big event, Pangos Sweet 16.
8	7	Team Thad Memphis, Tenn.	Key Wins: 17U Eric Gordon, 17U M33M Key Loss: Texas Titans
Team Thad is back in action, playing at the adidas Invitational.
9	9	MoKan Elite Kansas City, Mo.	Key Championship: KC Classic Key Loss: Houston Hoops (Next Level)
Up next is the King James Summer Showcase from July 13-15.
10	11	Playaz Basketball Club (N.J.) Paterson, N.J.	Key Championship: Delaware Memorial Day Classic Key Loss: Houston Hoops, The City
The Playaz won the We R 1 tournament in Delaware a week ago and are now in the top ten.
11	10	Texas Titans Dallas, Texas	Key Wins: Houston Hoops, Southern Stampede, Team Thad Key Loss: Team Texas Elite
This Titans team is made up of 15U guys who have been playing 16U all year.
12	12	Dream Vision Las Vegas, Nev.	Key Championship: EBO 17U
Dream Vision is in a pool with the Atlanta Celtics and Eric Gordon All-Stars at the adidas Invitational.
13	13	CP3 All-Stars Winston-Salem, N.C.
The CP3 All-Stars are gearing up for a busy schedule in July, but first they most focus on performing well at Peach Jam.
14	14	All-Ohio Red Columbus, Ohio	Key Championship: AAU State Tournament Key Loss: Mac Irvin Fire (Super 16)
All-Ohio Red looks to continue their solid play as they stand to face some stiff competition at AAU Nationals from July 10th-15th.
15	15	St. Louis Eagles St. Louis, Mo.	Key Win: Team Penny Key Losses: Southern Stampede, Dallas Showtyme (Next Level)
Up next on the schedule for the Eagles is the Mullens High Profile Tournament, which will run from July 13th-15th.
16	16	Team Loaded Richmond, Va.	Key Win: Dallas Showtyme Key Loss: Las Vegas Prospects
Team Loaded is almost ready to go again with a Big Shots tournament coming up this week.
17	17	Indiana Elite Bloomington, Ind.	Key Loss: Ray Allen Select
Indiana Elite is looking for some home cooking at the adidas Invitational. Their first game is tomorrow morning against Minnesota Pump N Run.
18	18	Louisville Magic	Key Championships: Spiece Run N Slam, Kentucky state tournament
The Louisville Magic are in the first 16U Super Pool and will have to deal with Florida Elite early on at adidas.
19	19	Dallas Showtyme Dallas, Tex.	Key Wins: St. Louis Eagles (Next Level), Las Vegas Prospects
Dallas Showtyme will look to prove it's one of the best teams in Texas at a GASO tournament coming up next week.
20	20	CIA Bounce Ontario, Canada	Key Win: Sports U. Key Loss: Team SCAN
The CIA Bounce program is almost ready for Peach Jam.
21	21	Florida Elite St. Petersburg, Fla.	Key Wins: D-Rose All-Stars, Indiana Elite, Southern Stampede Key Loss: Ray Allen Select
It's a new name, but the same story for Florida Elite. They were off this week but face tough competition at the adidas Invitational.
22	22	Mac Irvin Fire Chicago, Ill.	Key Win: All-Ohio Red (Super 16), Eric Gordon All-Stars (Spiece Run N Slam) Key Loss: All-Ohio Red (Spiece Run N Slam)
The Fire have some good wins and will be looking for some more at Peach Jam.
23		The City New York, N.Y.	Key Championships: Pitt Jam Fest, King of the Rock, New York Regional Key Loss: BABC (16U)
The City has 2014 players and has been playing up all year, so we decided to move them into the 16U field. They'll have to fight their way to the top.

Sports U. continues to show it is one of the best in the northeast.
25	24	Team Texas Elite Dallas, Texas	Key Win: Texas Titans Key Loss: Dalas Showtyme
Team Texas Elite rounds out the top 25.
