Huntington Prep drops a peg this week after losing to Tilton

It was more famine than feast this past Thanksgiving week with many teams resting. However, we did get some good action at the DFW Thanksgiving Hoopfest where Grace Prep was impressive and Prestonwood Christian Academy jumps onto our radar. The biggest contest took place at the State Farm Tournament of Champions between No. 3 Tilton and previously No. 4 ranked Huntington Prep. Tilton's Nerlens Noel once again proved his worth leading the Rams to a 53-48 victory and getting Most Outstanding Player honors. Bigger games loom this weekend, No. 2 Findlay Prep travels to Texas to see No. 11 Marcus. Tilton takes on No. 16 South Kent on Sunday and No. 3 Oak Hill Academy battles No. 20 La Lumiere. The fun has officially started.

Record: 4-0 Key Wins: None Key Losses: None Results: beat Christian Faith Center Academy 112-79 Weekly Report: Anthony Bennett, Brandon Ashley and the rest of Findlay Prep made their case for the top spot in our rankings with a convincing win over Christian Faith Center Academy at the Kentucky Preseason Showcase. Things get tougher this week though when they face No. 11 Marcus on Saturday. Up Next: 12/30 vs. Marcus

Record: 4-0 Key Wins: Huntington Prep Key Losses: None Results: beat Trent Internationale76-52, beat Sunrise Christian Academy 47-42, beat Huntington Prep 53-48 Weekly Report: After blowing out Trent Internationale and earning a tougher-than-expected win over Sunrise Christian, Tilton picked up a statement victory by beating Huntington Prep to take the State Farm Tournament of Champions. Nerlens Noel was named tournament MVP while teammate Wayne Seldon made the All-Tournament team. Up Next: 12/4 vs. South Kent

Record: 9-0 Key Wins: None Key Losses: None Results: N/A Weekly Report: Following a busy start to the season, the 9-0 Warriors rested last week and return to the court tonight against Thomasville Prep. Then on Saturday, Oak Hill gets one of the best matchups of the week: La Lumiere in the Marshall County Hoopfest. Up Next: 12/3 vs. La Lumiere

Record:5-1 Key Wins: None Key Losses: Tilton Results: beat Sunrise Christian Academy 49-39, beat Trent Internationale 79-41, lost to Tilton 53-48 Weekly Report:Like Tilton, Huntington Prep was able to trounce Trent Internationale and grind out a win over Sunrise Christian. But in the marquee battle of the week, Tilton escaped with a five-point win, despite guards Negus Webster-Chan and Andrew Wiggins making the All-Tournament team. Up Next: 12/2 vs. Wesley Christian

Record: 8-0 Key Wins: Houston Yates Key Losses: None Results: beat Houston Yates 80-67, beat Upper Room Christian 61-54 Weekly Report: The Thanksgiving Hoopfest presented a formidable challenge for Marcus, but the team from Flower Mound responded well. Marcus pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat Yates by 13 last Friday, then withstood a late charge from Upper Room Christian to win by seven on Saturday. Next Up: 12/3 vs. Findlay Prep
