Five-Star Basketball - H.S. Power Rankings: Week 14: February 15, 2012

Shakeup in the lower half of the rankings with marquee games looming

Among the top of the rankings, there was no shifting. Everybody proved their worth including St. Anthony with its one-point win over Huntington Prep. However, the bottom half saw some moves, Ridgeway avenged an early loss to Southwind and jump into the rankings. Gonzaga, suffering a blowout loss to DeMatha and a 2-point home L to Paul VI were knocked out. With the playoffs in action, these next couple of weeks will be telling. The game to watch this week - Tilton at Brewster. Stay tuned.

Weekly Report: Their win over Andrew Wiggins and a Huntington Prep team that just fought to a one-point loss to St. Anthony, continues to show that Tilton is a force. The Rams' Monday night showdown with Brewster has to be the game of the week.

Weekly Report: Three wins this week, highlighted by a 29-point rout of Gonzaga, propels DeMatha back into our power rankings. Overall, DeMatha has won six straight since a tough road loss to Paul VI back in January. They’ll get a rematch later next week.
